Mountain outing

Accompanied by a qualified professional — a ski instructor or high-mountain guide — explore the great outdoors around La Clusaz and the Aravis mountain range. From snow-covered bowls to more challenging high-mountain routes, every outing reveals unspoilt landscapes and a different side of skiing.

Depending on your interests and experience, choose from:

• Off-piste skiing or snowboarding
• Ski touring
• Splitboarding
• High-mountain adventures with a guide, including ice climbing or skiing down the Vallée Blanche

Each route is selected according to the participants’ ability, snow conditions and the weather on the day.

Mountain outings are arranged on request. The activity, timings and meeting point are agreed with your instructor or guide before departure, ensuring everything is properly planned for the best possible experience.

High-mountain activities, such as the Vallée Blanche descent or ice climbing, require specific arrangements. Our team will provide all the information you need before your activity.

Equipment requirements depend on the chosen activity and route. Ski touring, splitboarding and off-piste skiing require specialist equipment, including avalanche safety gear (transceiver, shovel and probe) where appropriate. Contact ESi before your outing to find out exactly what you need to bring.

The mountains are an unpredictable environment. Weather, snow conditions and avalanche risk may require changes to the programme to ensure the group’s safety. Your instructor or guide is best placed to adapt the route to the conditions on the day.

Please also check that your insurance covers your chosen activity, as well as any potential cancellations or illness.
