Practical Information About Our Ski and Snowboard Lessons

Participants

We offer private lessons from just 1 participant. Group sizes are limited to 6 children in Club Souris, 10 in group lessons and 5 in mini-group lessons.

Ages

We welcome children from the age of 3½, provided they are keen to discover snow sports. Children generally start snowboarding at a later age, when the equipment is properly suited to them.

Duration & Times

Most of our lessons last 2 hours, the minimum needed to make progress. Full-day sessions are also available, allowing you to explore the entire ski area. During school holidays (all zones), lessons start at 8:45 am, 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Outside the holiday periods, start times are more flexible. Please make sure you arrive on time for the start and finish of your lessons.

Equipment

Please come properly equipped for your lesson: skis or snowboard, boots, poles and a helmet (strongly recommended and compulsory for certain lessons). You should also bring suitable clothing, gloves and goggles or sunglasses.

Ski Pass

Ski passes are not included in our lessons. Anyone using the ski lifts must have a valid lift pass: even a free pass is compulsory. The La Clusaz-Manigod pass is sufficient for our lessons. It is available from all ticket offices at the main meeting points.

Languages

Our lessons are mainly taught in French and English. If you require another language (Spanish, German or Italian), please contact our team, subject to instructor availability.

Passport & Medals

If you already have an ESi passport, please give it to your instructor at the start of your stay. Otherwise, we’ll provide you with one, along with your medal, at the end of your course.

Prices

If you have any questions or need help choosing the package that best suits your needs, our team will be happy to assist you.

Trust & Safety

For the sake of your child’s learning, please avoid following their lessons or calling out to them during the session. Allow our instructors to decide whether a change of level or group is appropriate, and trust in their professionalism. Please let the instructor know about any health issues or other relevant information concerning your child. Your child is on holiday: the aim is for them to enjoy themselves and want to come back!
VILLAGE CENTRE

Our meeting points

Find our ski school
You’ll find us at the ski school office in the centre of the village. Our opening hours vary, but we’re here every day throughout the season for registrations, questions, or simply to browse our shop and goodies. Our team is here to welcome you all season long. Lessons do not start from our office.
Patinoire Meeting Point
Our main meeting point for group lessons is at the bottom of the village, alongside the ice rink and next to Champ Giguet, at the foot of the Patinoire and Beauregard gondola lifts.
Bossonnet Meeting Point
The Bossonnet meeting point is located in the upper part of La Clusaz village, at the foot of the Bossonnet and Grenêche chairlifts.

5. Meet Your Instructor
Before each session, your instructor takes the time to talk things through with you: introductions, the day’s objectives, your current level, and how the session or week will unfold. This is a chance to get to know one another, feel comfortable and start the lesson with confidence.
